Crossover
The loudspeaker base holds the crossover network. Its job is to split the audio signal from the amplifier in three parts; hi-, mid- and low-frequency sound. These spilt signals are then lead by separate wires to each driver unit.
The first step in the design was to choose a concept that would influence as little as possible on the resulting sound from the speakers. We then started the search for optimal components in a long iterative process of measuring, listening and adjusting and changing components.
We reached our goal with punch, true air and openness with components from the recognized supplier Mundorf. The critical capacitors in the signal path are made of silver - alloyed with gold. Similarly the coils in the signal path are absolute high end - air ofc-copper foil coils.
By placing the crossover outside the enclosure volume, vibrations do not reach these sensitive components, providing optimum working conditions for the crossover network.
